Not Eating Enough Fruit!
Wowww! This finding is huge. 4.9 million people are dying each year because they are not eating a healthy diet and the biggest diet issue is not eating enough fruit! I’m a detoxification specialist having trained under Dr. Robert Morse, ND who has worked with over 100,000 people over the last 40+ years helping them to find their way to radiant health when they have lost it. A large part of my approach is waking people up to the power of eating fruits, berries, and melons all day with a salad in the evening. Some people who are more advanced on their healing path will even eat a mono fruit based diet, such as dark red grapes, for an extended period of time. We also add healing medicinal herbs on top of that to assist specific weaknesses that some people have with the kidneys, adrenals, and the lymphatic system. This fruit based diet has been the core of my approach and the foundation of all of Dr. Morse’s work. It is absolutely no surprise to me when I read the article published by Michael Greger MD. With the training and experience I have, this finding is an obvious one- but it’s wonderful to have this mainstream study prove and publish it.
Fruit Cleanses Our Lymphatic System
Dr. Greger goes on to say “According to the Union of Concerned Scientists: “If Americans ate just one more serving of fruits or vegetables per day, this would save more than 30,000 lives and $5 billion in medical costs each year.” The antidote for individuals is easy, painless, and even pleasurable: exploit the multiple nutritional and protective benefits of fruits and vegetables.” Dr. Greger then aims to try to understand how it is that fruits are so effective. “One way plants protect us may be their anti-platelet effects. Platelets are what trigger the blood clots that cause heart attacks and most strokes. And beyond their obvious function in blood clotting, platelets are now considered to play a pivotal inflammatory role in the hardening of the arteries in the first place, and in allergies, rheumatoid arthritis, and even C#nc#r.” With great respect for Dr. Greger, because I really admire all his work and his amazing contribution to the vegan health movement, my critique is that he is stuck in the western medical mindset that believe all of our issues begin in the blood. This is why he is focusing in on platelets. However, in my experience, the problem is not usually in the blood- it begins in the lymphatic system.
The Lymphatic System Removes Toxicity from the Body
Let me help you understand why it’s a healthy lymphatic system that is so crucial to preventing disease in the body and why eating fruit is the golden key to moving and cleansing the lymph. In my studies with Dr. Morse he taught me that the cause of all disease is that people become very acidic, a situation known as ‘interstitial acidosis’. This occurs because your body at some point has a weakness in its acid elimination system, which is the lymphatic system. These acids accumulate in the body and they build up in all the fluids surrounding the cells in your body. The lymphatic system is considered the great sewer system of the body and the system that removes toxic waste. If it gets clogged up with too much acid and toxicity, inflammation is then triggered and then bigger disease conditions begin to take place. Unfortunately, in western medicine so much of the focus when it comes to health and disease is on the blood. However, when we look at all ‘diseases’ through the lens of acidosis things become much more simple to understand. And when we know what is truly going wrong in our body we can begin to find solutions and heal!
Fruits clean the lymph. Fruits remove the acids. Fruits remove the cause of all disease!
After we understand acidosis and the importance of lymphatic cleansing, the big question then becomes- how can I remove these acids from my body? AND THIS is where fruits and herbs come into the picture. Fruits cleanse acids out of the body. Fruits are very alkaline! Which is the balancing act for the acidic state we get to when we eat a diet high in acidic foods. Fruits also get the lymphatic system moving. They are full of astringent qualities, flavanoids, and high water content to carry the acids out of the body via the kidneys. The point is, no other food works better than fruits for removing the acidosis and getting the body to start eliminating its acids effectively. Once you are eliminating acids you stop accumulating them, and your body then can effectively cleanse and remove toxic waste! And this is how we avoid becoming one of the unfortunate numbers in a disease study.
